Number Plate Light Bar Installation Instructions

Required Tools: #40 and #18 drill bits or equivalent, drill, masking tape (optional), 2.5mm Allen wrench, 6 inch ruler or tape measure, permanent marker.

Warning! Sharp tools are used in this installation. Take proper precautions to prevent injury!

  1. Check to make sure the position of the light bar does not interfere with your front brake line!
  2. Remove your number plate and mark the middle along the top edge.
  3. With the light rotated downward in its mount brackets, line up the light bar center bolt with the mark you made on the number plate.
  4. Do your best to level the left and right sides of the light. This can be done with masking tape, a marker, and a 6 inch ruler. If you are struggling with this, rest the light bar mounts on the number plate and it will be level.
  5. insert the #40 or equivalent drill bit into the brass insert and gently mark your holes. (do not drill).
  6. Once the pilot holes are marked, remove the light bar and mounts from the number plate and drill the pilot holes. You can use the rubber tapers as a drill guide.
  7. Place the light mount back in place and double check the pilot holes for alignment. If everything lines up, use the #18 or equivalent drill bit next. If one or more holes do not line up, use a slightly bigger pilot bit to correct the position of the hole and then repeat this step.
  8. Using the provided screws, install the rubber taper adapters on the front and the back of the number plate. The flat surfaces of the adapters should be parallel.
  9. Place the light bar mounts on the back of the plate and tighten the screws with a 2.5mm Allen wrench.
  10. Plug in your headlight adapter.
  11.  (SAE Wire Harness Option) A: Install the light switch behind your number plate with either the adhesive tape or provided screws. B: Install the provided wire harness in an area that the plug can reach your light bar. The red wire goes to the positive battery terminal and the black wire goes to the negative battery terminal.
  12. Go get dirty!
