Helmet Visor Light Mount Installation Instructions
Required Tools: 3/32"and 3/16" drill bits or approx equivalent, drill, masking tape (optional), 6" straight edge, fine tip permanent marker, 2.5mm Allen wrench, 7mm wrench.
Warning! Sharp tools are used in this installation. Take proper precautions to prevent injury!
Visor Light Mount:
- Remove visor from helmet.
- Disassemble the light mount halves.
- Under or over the visor (depending on the kit you have), place the center of the visor mount 1.75" to 2" (your preference) and mark its location with the fine tip marker.
- Using a straight edge ruler, mark two point on either side from the front edge of the visor (or use any clearly visible feature on the visor). This will align the light left to right.
- From your marks, place another set of marks 3/8" away to mark the center line of the mount.
- Using a straight edge, do your best to mark a line down the centerline of the visor (the line will point from back to front of the visor).
- Place the visor mount so it is aligned with your marks and use the small drill bit to pilot mark where your holes will be. BE CAREFUL not to mar the brass threads in the mount.
- If your pilot marks are not on the line, adjust the angle of the drill as shown below to "walk" the hole to the line.
- Once you are happy with the pilot holes, use the larger drill bit to up size the mount holes.
- Install the mount using the supplied hardware and snug screws by hand.
- Install the other half of the light mount using the supplied tension knobs.
- Back the large security knob out until it does not protrude through the mount.
- Install the light by sliding it gently onto the track from the right side of the visor.
- Tighten the large knob gently until the light is secure.
- Adjust the light as desired.
- Go get dirty!
